Reporting to the Project Director, the UX Designer is responsible for utilizing player research and understanding of gameplay to create user-centered intuitive gameplay experiences that will delight our fans. The UX Designer will work closely with the production, engineering and art teams and will be involved in all phases of the design process, from conceptual design/development (product strategy, prototyping) to execution and implementation.


  • Understand and communicate player needs, goals, and behaviours.
  • Create a unique and engaging visual identity that supports and reinforces gameplay
  • Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
  • Incorporate emerging user testing data into designs
  • Rapidly iterate on concepts, articulate ideas to team. Utilize a user centered design approach.
  • Solve complex design problems, minimize player pain points, and elevate UX/UI in our products
  • Design and implement fun and innovative solutions by collaborating with various teams.
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX issues as they arise
  • Illustrating design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
  • Analyze competitive product UX, offer critique on them


  • 2-3 years’ UX design experience
  • Understanding of product specifications and psychological foundations of UX (player motivations, user psychology cognitive flow, etc.)
  • Experience creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, visual designs, and mobile prototypes as well as clear documentation.
  • Ability to articulate UX design decisions to non-designers
  • Involvement in designing and conducting usability testing, engageability testing, and UX research
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and XD or other prototyping tools.
  • A love for games and a deep understanding of why games are important
  • Experience working in an agile/scrum environment
